Apptronik unveils Apollo 2 and a 90,000 sq ft 'Robot Park' training facility

Apptronik opened Robot Park, its flagship ~90,000 sq ft data-collection and training facility in Austin, and unveiled Apollo 2 — the current generation of its humanoid, in bipedal and wheeled-base configurations. Fleets of Apollo 2 units run logistics, manufacturing and retail tasks there, generating training data for the Gemini Robotics models Apptronik develops with Google DeepMind.

Why it matters

The bottleneck in humanoids is shifting from hardware to data. A dedicated data factory — plus a plan for more Robot Parks at customer sites — is a bet that whoever collects the most real-task data trains the most deployable robot. It also deepens the Google DeepMind tie, Apptronik's main AI moat against Figure and Tesla's Optimus.
