Holtec pulled its $900M IPO — not because of its reactors, but because of data centres
Holtec scrapped its Nasdaq listing on September 16, days before pricing 50 million shares at $15–18. CEO Kris Singh blamed the market's turn against the AI data-centre trade: "Our business, rightly or wrongly, is viewed as connected to it." In the same week the NRC granted an exemption letting Holtec start early site work on two SMR-300 units at Palisades.
